Lion's Honey - posted by Miguel
More than 40 years ago, my father use to give me honey... a honey that came in a can with a label that depict a LION been sting by BEES in a soft green background.

Does anybody knows of this brand of honey?

Hi,

I have the answer to your query as posted on Past Times Project (in case you've forgotten I quote it below.

The "honey" you remember was actually Lyle's Golden Syrup. The lion depicted the lion in the Old Testament, which was killed and then bees nested in it. The tin of syrup had the scriptural quote: "Out of the strong came forth sweetness."

Cheers!
Fran
