THE "OLD MANOR CAFE " - posted by Dave
Looking for other rockers who frequented the Old Manor Cafe in Blackwater , Surrey in the 1960's. There is a Triumph Show round about july time that allows the Old Manor Cafe reunion to have a marque put up which is always full of photo's of the 1960's. I've been to the last 2 reunions and you'd be surprised who come up and taps you on the shoulder and asks "Are you the same Sweeney who rode the 250 Norton " Because I've still got the original jacket from the 60's thrown over my shoulder (cos I think its shrunk over the years Haa Haa)Keep your eyes open around the summer time for the date . Hi Mick, I went to about 4 of those reunions but for the last couple of years there hasn't been one. Its such a shame but wether Janie(she ran the club) as her father "Jacko" was a regular like myself from about 1966---1972. Those were great years of our youth and there have been so many that have passed away. It so happens that there is another place that I go to and its on this weekend Sat 22nd and Sun 23rd (which I'm going to) and its called the Ton-up Day and is being held at JACK HILLS CAFE AT TOWCESTER ON THE A5.

Does any one have any photos of the Old Manor Cafe with ton up bikes ? I used to go there 1967 to 1969 had a BSA Rocket Gold Star Cafe Racer. I moved to Hong Kong in 1970 how I wish I still had that bike.
