Mrs Julie Bewick wrote in with a heartfelt request:-

I would be delighted to hear from anyone who can remember my parents who worked in Brighton. They were Elsa and Bob Freedman and ran a family business 'Fine Art Visible Menders' in Preston Street during the 1950's and into the mid 1960's.

They lived at 2, Lower Market Street and also Davigdor Road at one time. Sadly, since died, they had another daughter, Betty, younger than me. She married a postman from Brighton called Paul Blunt.

I would love to hear from anyone who remembers the Freedman family. I'm not on the internet or the phone, but feel free to write to me. (Newcastle address supplied)

In the hope that someone may recognise them I enclose a photo of my parents, Bob and Elsa Freedman, with grandson Robert, taken at Brighton in 1964.

Anyone wishing to contact Julie Bewick should contact the editor of this site in the first instance.
