i am looking for photos taken in and before the 1950's of brightons rest gardens ,in dyke road, before the council flattened/removed many tombstones. some were left, think my great great grandfathers is still there. hugh hamilton mortimer. have visited the gardens but unable to read any writings on the stones. or does any one know of a good way to clean 100 year old plus gravestones.
