I will always remember growing up in Greenman Street, Islington, which is just off of the Essex Road. My fondest memories are of staying with my Nan and Granddad ( Bessie and Gilbert Walker).
My Nan would visit the bingo on a Friday night and come Saturday we would go off to Chapel Market to buy bargains, drink sasparella and munch on apple fritters.
No forgetting Pie 'n' Mash from Kelly's !!
I have also lived elsewhere in London: at Greenman Street, Islington; Kings Road, Chelsea; Sutherland Street, Pimlico; and Mead Crescent, Chingford.
I emigrated to Atlanta in the USA and now live in Florida, and although I love it here, nowhere would ever take the place of my memories, of those I grew up with. My heart will always stay in London and with the friends and family that I left behind.
