Wyber
Are you associated to this family tree? William Wyber born in 1889 aboard a ship in Spanish waters to Margaret and Adam Wyber who lived at Byker, Newcastle-on-Tyne during 1901. He was the great grandfather of my cousin who now lives in Australia. William was a merchant seaman during WW1, but also played for Newcastle FC at the age of 19 and also in a few internationals. He was married to Elizabeth Richardson Bright in 1911. Does anyone connect to this family? Any information would be gratefully received. Many thanks.

I live in Scotland. Adam and Margaret Wyber were my greatgrandparents. I am in touch with Wyber relatives in Australia, possibly including your cousin.
I think that William Wyber probably played for an amateur team in Newcastle-on-Tyne. I have quite a lot of information about Adam and some of his family.
